Privacy Notice for Getlink website 

This Privacy Notice applies to the processing of personal data, which means information about an identifiable individual (“you”) that Getlink (or a Getlink group company if applicable) (“the Company” or “we” or “us” or “our”) collects and processes via the Website getlinkgroup.com.

It also describes your data protection rights, including a right to object to some of the processing which we carry out. More information about your rights, and how to exercise them, is set out in the “What are your choices and rights?” section below.

We may also provide you with additional information when we collect personal data, where we feel it would be helpful to provide relevant and timely information.

We collect and process personal data when you interact with us, including when you subscribe to our email alerts to receive Getlink news. This includes:

  • Your email address
  • Information related to the browser or device you use to access our website, your IP address and cookie preferences
  • Any additional personal data provided by you if you contact us.

  • Where necessary for our legitimate interests, as listed below, and where these interests are not overridden by your data protection rights:

In certain circumstances we will not be able to provide the services you have requested if we are not provided with all relevant personal data. We will make this clear at the time the data is collected and will also explain what will happen if you do not provide the data.

When we process your personal data for the purposes of providing email alerts to receive Getlink news, we keep your data for the duration of your subscription and for three (3) months thereafter.

Your IP address is retained in accordance with your cookie preferences.

Your personal data may be shared with government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if mandated by law or if required for the legal protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws.

In the event that Getlink group is sold or integrated with another business, your details will be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchaser’s adviser and will be passed to the new owners of the business.

Your personal data will be processed in the European Economic Area (“EEA”). If we share your personal data with third party service providers established outside the EEA, we will identify the providers and non-EEA countries in which they are established.

When information is transferred outside the EEA and to a stakeholder or supplier in a country that is not subject to an adequacy decision by the European Commission, the data is adequately protected by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, appropriate data protection and confidentiality certification or binding corporate rules of a supplier.
